Barra Bass and Bream’s Kim Bain has been playing with Shakespeare’s Catera graphite rods and Catera spinning reels lately and has been very impressed by what she has seen.
There are two new rods — the SP 6070 2SB and the SP 6070 2ML — and they are perfect for bream spinning, the former with 2-4 kg line, and the latter 3-5.
Both are 2.1 m long, 2 piece for ease of transport and storage, feature IM8 graphite for increased sensitivity and reduced weight, the ultimate guide system for superior casting performance and durable stainless steel guides with stainless steel inserts, top grade cork handles, lightweight graphite reel seats with stainless steel cushioned hoods, and a handy hook keeper.
The 6635 and 6640 spin reels have 5 stainless steel ball bearings, a one way clutch instant anti-reverse bearing, a long cast aluminium spool, corrosion resistant graphite body, an anti-twist titanium line roller and bail wire clicker, smooth multi-disc drag system and precision gears. A spare aluminium spool means that an alternative line class can be fished when conditions warrant it. |
