2200km north-east of Perth. |
| Description |
Broome is a historical
pearling town of about 7,000 people on the north-west coast
of Western Australia at the southern end of the spectacular
Kimberley region. The town's main industry is Tourism and much
of that is due to the excellent fishing in the waters around
Broome. Indo-Pacific sailfish are abundant just off the coast
of Broome and several major tournaments including a fly fishing
event are held each year in the town. |
