THE 480 HORNET WILDFISHER QSV

Quintrex’s Multi-function moulded internal panels include 2 built-in drink holders, horizontal rod brackets, and mounts for stereo speakers. The panels are easy to clean and can be hosed down without damaging the upholstery

Jam-packed with fishing features as standard, the 480 Hornet Wildfisher QSV is for the serious tournament angler. Front competition style live well and rear live bait tank, lockable 7’ rod locker, MotorGuide electric motor, lockable roto-moulded storage compartments, rod and drink holders and a handy tackle tidy put this boat high on the wish list for every wannabe pro-angler.

Featuring the unique stretch-formed Eclipse V-Flared hull to deliver smooth planing and precise tracking, the 480 Wildfisher QSV literally glides across the water. It is also incredibly stable at rest, thanks to the Maxi 2 Transom, which increases buoyancy aft and is a useful platform when boarding.

With the Wildfisher’s short sides, the negative effects of ‘windage’ —the curse of slow trolling and controlled drifting — is reduced. Specially designed features such as a push-down front cleat and removable navigation light leaves the deck flush to avoid line fouling when fly-fishing.

The standard convertible casting platform bench seat allows passengers to ride in comfort then, once the fishing spot is reached, it folds down to extend the rear casting platform, giving casting room for nearly the entire length of the boat.

Other benefits include lockable roto-moulded storage compartments to ensure gear remain secure, clean and dry. Fully carpeted casting platforms and floor, with marine grade carpet, make for easy maintenance and stability underfoot. All hatches are made from alloy core, which offers durability and avoids warping, while hinges are the recessed ‘piano’ style for added strength and safety.

THE QUINTREX 540 FREEDOM SPORT

Quintrex’s versatile 540 Freedom Sport was the winner 2005 Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) Australian Dayboat of the Year award.

Quintrex’s 540 Freedom Sport has won the prestigious 2005 Australian Marine Industries Federation (AMIF) Australian Dayboat of the Year. Entries were stringently judged on on-water performance during boat tests and the 6 finalists were selected on a “ 90 per cent or better score on criteria which include safety, ergonomics, performance and value for money”.

Quintrex’s triple combination of the Millennium Hull, Flared Bow and Maxi 2 Transom produced winning on-water performance. Quintrex hulls are designed to deliver a quieter, drier, softer ride with improved tracking, stability and manoeuvrability.

With 4mm bottomsides and 3mm topsides, the 540 Freedom Sport is built to last and a spacious 2.4 m beam easily accommodates 6 adults, plus gear and tackle. Measuring 5.62 m overall, the 540 Freedom Sport’s roomy interior is fully carpeted with marine-quality material to add safety and functionality. Top it off with an optional 2-tone hull in fire-engine red, jet-black or sky blue to make a statement on the water.

As an instant boating package, the 540 Freedom Sport is delivered with a 90 hp Mercury/Mariner 2-Stroke engine at a RRP of $33,550 including GST. Just add dealer delivery charges and you’re away.

QUINTREX’S LEVEL FLOTATION

Quintrex’s Level Flotation will help the boat remain level and upright in calm conditions. This will soon become a safety requirement in all recreational boats manufactured in Australia.

Quintrex takes safety very seriously and the company is one of the first Australian boat manufacturers to feature Level Floatation across the range of more than 50 models.

Level flotation is an industry development which could possibly save your life. Significant quantities of foam have been strategically installed in specially designed compartments along the sides and underfloor framework of the boat . Should the boat become fully swamped, the flotation will help the boat remain level and upright in calm conditions. Passengers will be able to make a distress call, reach safety gear and ensure the safety of younger passengers. Level flotation allows passengers to remain inside the protective surroundings of the hull rather than being exposed in open water.

Level flotation has been installed in accordance with the American Boat and Yacht Council and European Certification (CE) Standards. This comes ahead of the 2005 Australian Marine Safety Standards, where level flotation will soon become a safety requirement in all recreational boats manufactured in Australia.

Additional safety features of the Quintrex range include a Wash Deck. This feature has been added to ensure excess water is caught and flushed through outlets at the transom. This advanced design is complimented by an automatic bilge pump (standard on all models 4.6 m and over excluding CV models), for quick, effective drainage.

QUINTREX MOULDED INTERNAL PANELS

The 480 Hornet Wildfisher QSV features a live well and rear live bait tank, lockable 7’ rod locker, MotorGuide electric motor, lockable roto-moulded storage compartments, rod and drink holders, and a handy tackle tidy.

This year marks Quintrex’s Diamond Anniversary and as part of the celebrations, plush new interiors and improved sporty lines are just some of the things they have planned.

These internal panels are manufactured using a thermal direct injection moulding process, which is light, easy to maintain, strong and durable. Features inset into the mouldings include 2 built-in drink holders, horizontal rod brackets and mounts for stereo speakers. Panels are easy to clean and can be hosed down without damaging upholstery.

The new internal side panelling really sets a benchmark, as Quintrex closes the visual-gap between aluminium and fibreglass boats. The new panels are standard on all 460, 480 and 540 models, excluding CVs.
