| GET A GRIP - GET A BOGAGRIP!!
Designed for anglers who are serious about catch and release, or want to confidently boat their table fish, the BogaGrip is the original time-tested, saltwater-tough, fish landing, handling and weighing tool. The original fish-grip and weighing tool, BogaGrip's proven design has changed little over the years - and it remains as popular as ever.
Made in the USA, from the highest quality materials, the BogaGrip is particularly good for handling fish in cold weather, active fish, slimy fish, or fish that are well equipped with sharp teeth, gill plates and fins. It also keeps hands at a safe distance from hooks - especially treble hooks on lures. Since it doesn't damage the protective slime nor puncture a fish, BogaGrips allow fish to be quickly returned to the water, and their survival chances are far greater. For the uninitiated, the BogaGrip is a tube shaped tool, with one end serving as the handgrip and scales, while the other end is equipped with a pair of smooth jaws. It has a trigger sleeve that slides along the main tube, serving as an opening and closing means as well as a lock. The main tube has a precision scale embossed on it and the scale is calibrated using certified weights to ensure accuracy within 1 increment. In fact, the BogaGrip's accurate and durable scales can also be certified by the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) for potential world record catches. In use, the angler holds the grip sleeve, and using the thumb pulls back the trigger sleeve, which causes the jaws to open. The jaws are then placed around the lower jawbone of the fish, and the trigger sleeve is released. Two light coil springs push the trigger sleeve down, causing the jaws to lock shut. The fish is then lifted aboard, with the fish's weight being supported under the belly. Should the fish act up, the main tube can spin inside the grip tube while the scale spring acts as a shock absorber. The fish is released by placing it back in the water, and again pulling on the trigger. The BogaGrip is available in three models. Model 315 weighs fish up to15 lb in ¼ lb increments, is 23 cm long and weighs 255 g. It's ideal for estuary and freshwater fishing with species such as bass and bream. Model 130 weighs fish up to 30 lb in ½ lb increments, is 27 cm long and weighs 454 g, while Model 260 weighs fish up to 60 lb in ½ lb increments, is 38 cm long and weighs 680 g. These larger models are widely used for a variety of larger species including, barra, Murray cod, jewfish, snapper and salmon and many reef fish. For fish such as large barra intended for release, once the BogaGrip has secure hold of the fish's jaw, it's a good idea to slide a wet hand along the side of the fish to aid in bringing it onboard for unhooking and/or photo. Hooks are easily removed with the fish in the water, but watch out for crocs in tropical waters. And to keep track of the whereabouts of your BogaGrip and to store this quality tool when not in use, the handy Boga Bracket is now available. Fixed in the one spot with stainless steel screws, or via the 4 suction caps, it can be mounted wherever there is a flat surface. The BogaGrip simply clips in, where it is securely held until called upon. Both the BogaGrip and the Boga Bracket have lifetime warranties. STRIKEBACK HOOK REMOVERS
