The Classic F18

The deadly new F18 barra lure will blow fish away.

Designed by specialist lure maker, Rob Gaden, the uniquely streamlined Classic F18 emulates the profile and action of a fleeing baitfish.

Measuring some 120 mm long, the F18 has defined lateral wings and curves for stability at both low and high retrieve and trolling speeds. Its diamond cross-section profile lends itself to accurate distance casting, while the lure responds well to a twitching retrieve and jig trolling. It really hangs in there while run at higher trolling speeds for pelagic species too. The body shape and hook positioning also ensures that the maximum amount of treble is exposed so the lure does what you want it to do - hook fish!

Purpose-built sonic rattle cavities enhance casting characteristics, while the noise generated beneath the surface is a highly effective fish attractor.

The lure's action is best described as 'lazy', unlike many other lures, and is a classic wounded baitfish imitation with a well-established track record on a range of species. The F18 has accounted for barra, mangrove jacks, fingermark, blue and king threadfin, queenfish, mackerel, giant and golden trevally and other species.

Depending on the retrieve, the F18 will dive up to 2.5 m, making it ideal for a wide range of fishing scenarios. From casting to snags, mud banks and drains in northern creek systems, to trolling rock bars, creek mouths and open water flats, this lure is an essential item to add to your tackle arsenal.

Fitted with heavy-duty split rings and extra strong trebles to suit its target species, the lure is ready to fish straight from the pack.

Like all Classic Lures, the F18 is available in a range of highly visible, durable finishes, including the popular and super-effective Bobby Dazzler.
