MAXIMA - The Tradition Continues

Maxima continue to do what it does best - make fishing lines.

For 50 years Maxima has been meeting customer requirements and demands through continued development of new and innovative lines for the ever-changing fishing styles.

Made with only the finest raw materials and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, Maxima lines have a deserved reputation as one of the most respected fishing lines in the world. All Maxima lines are super strong with extreme longevity and durability; offer incredible knot strength, with anti-knot slip characteristics; have controlled stretch qualities; are extremely abrasion resistant; retain all their characteristics, even when wet; are super smooth, to maximise casting distance; and all lines adapt their colour characteristics to the water colour and surrounding environment.

An extensive range of Maxima lines is available in Australia, suitable for a wide range of applications. Depending on the breaking strain, most Maxima lines are available in spool lengths from 15 m to 3000 m. Perfexion is a super premium monofilament line that combines all of the best qualities of a fishing line into one. As a result of an advanced polymer formula and new extrusion process, thin diameter Perfexion is so soft and limp that it spools easily, lays flat on overhead and threadline reels alike, and offers outstanding castability. At the same time, this line has a high-durability finish that maximises abrasion resistance and ensures excellent knot strength, yet retains just the right amount of stretch for positive hook-sets. It's available in breaking strains from 1-27 kg.

Ultragreen is Maxima's original green monofilament line. The exclusive colour characteristics of this line sees it become virtually invisible under water, particularly in fresh water and inshore coastal waters. It is also soft and limp, yet retains Maxima's tough, high-durability finish for excellent abrasion resistance. Ultragreen is a great all-round line for a variety of fresh and general saltwater fishing, spooling and casting well on threadline reels and baitcasters. The line's invisibility underwater also makes it ideal for leader material. Ultragreen is available in breaking strains ranging 0.5-227 kg.

Chameleon has the unique property of changing hues to match the colour of the surroundings, for invisibility in water that is cloudy or lightly stained. Designed for freshwater lakes and rivers, this line has an extremely tough finish, making it ideal for casting and flipping around rocks and snags. Chameleon fishes perfectly on baitcasters and spinning reels, and is a popular line for fly leader material, especially for the butt section of tapered leaders. It's available in breaking strains ranging 0.5-227 kg.

Fibre Glow is a uniquely coloured, high-visibility line that is perfect for tracking lines and detecting subtle strikes. It's also ideal for night fishing with 'black light' that causes the line to glow luminescent. Fibre Glow incorporates Maxima's high-durability for incredible abrasion resistance, yet retains just the right amount of limpness for easy spooling and casting. Fibre Glow is available in breaking strains ranging 0.5-18 kg.

Manufactured to meet the requirements of the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), Maxima's IGFA line is for record seekers and those fishing in tournaments operating under IGFA rules, which state that a line must not break over the specified breaking strain test category. IGFA line is available in all the recognised line class categories from 1-60 kg.

Knotless Tapered Leaders are made from 2 types of Maxima monofilament line, with two distinct properties fused into one. The result is the perfect leader for fly fishing. The suppleness of

Maxima Ultragreen on the tippet section allows the fly to move naturally and appear realistic, whether on or in the water. At the butt end, Maxima Chameleon offers the right amount of stiffness allowing the leader to roll over freely and lay out more smoothly. The unique matt finish of this product, with light absorbing properties, makes it highly effective in a range of situations. Knotless tapered leaders are available from size 0X (with a tippet breaking strain of 6.4 kg) through to 7X (tippet breaking strain of 1.1 kg).
