PLANO - STILL LEADING THE WAY

Always at the forefront of tackle storage innovation, Plano's latest releases are sure to satisfy even the most hard-core of anglers.

Plano prides itself on producing the highest quality, most user-friendly tackle storage systems in the world. From once-a-year anglers, to fishaholics with uncontrollable lure addictions, there's sure to be something in their range for you.

HARD TO BEAT

Plano's compact 1354 tackle box is small in size and huge on features.

New for 2005 are the 1354, 1364 and 1374 hard systems. Well-designed and manufactured from high impact resistant, chemical resistant and worm-proof plastic, with tough, secure latches, these boxes will hold just about everything you want to cram into them.

The baby in the range is the 1354. Measuring 28 cm (L) x 18 cm (W) x 25 cm (H), this compact tackle box may be small in size, but it's huge on features.

This little dynamo features bulk storage under the lid for spare spools of leader material, pliers and other essentials, while the front opens to give access to four removable 2-3500 ProLatch utility boxes, for those favourite lures. The 1354 is red/metallic/silver/clear in colour. It's an ideal tackle box for travelling anglers, being big enough to store all the essential items for a trip, yet small enough not to take up too much space.

The 1364, measuring 34 cm (L) x 24 cm (W) x 36 cm (H), is the middle sibling and competes favourably with the other models.

This box includes four 2-3650 ProLatch utility boxes (all 3600 series utility boxes are interchangeable) for storing lures, soft plastics, jig heads and the like, and spacious bulk storage under the lid for line, hand-held GPS, and possibly a spare reel. It's available in a deep blue metallic/silver/clear colour. Just like the smaller 1354, it's another little gem, with a bit more storage for rapidly-accelerating lure collections.

The big brother is the 1374. Its larger size, 42 cm (L) x 31 cm (W) x 40 cm (H), ultimately means more room for more tackle!

The 1374 has a huge bulk storage area, with room for a spare reel and/or spools, leader material, bags of soft plastics and more. A 3503 spinnerbait box (not included) also fits into the bulk storage area. Included are four 2-3750 ProLatch utility boxes (all 3700 series utility boxes are interchangeable), proving ample storage for a good number of lures. The box is deep green metallic/silver/clear.

NEVER A SOFT OPTION

Long gone are the days of using an old hessian sack for a tackle bag. Soft-sided tackle systems have come a long way and have earned a great reputation as a serious tackle storage option. Plano's Guide Series 3336 and 3337 are case in point!

Plano' Guide Series 3337 includes four 3700 series StowAway utility boxes, which provide a huge amount of lure and terminal tackle storage.

Constructed from high-quality, extra-durable cordura, the 3336 is the perfect tackle storage system for anglers on the move. Featuring a moulded hard bottom, this tackle bag measures 55cm (L) x 21 cm (W) x 23 cm (H) and includes four 3600 series StowAway utility boxes, along with two zippered side pockets (with external mesh pockets) and front pocket.

The structured top (to protect gear) is impressive. Complete with a zippered pocket, there's ample room in this top section for all manner of gear - and you won't have to worry about it being damaged.

The 3337 is essentially a bigger version of the 3336, boasting all the features and made from the same durable material, just on a larger scale. Measuring 60 cm (L) x 25 cm (W) x 27 cm (H), the 3337 includes four 3700 series StowAway utility boxes providing a huge amount of lure and other tackle storage. The large side and front pockets, and the structured top, also provide ample room for other gear.

Big brother - the Plano's 1374. Its larger size ultimately means more room for more tackle!

Perhaps the greatest feature of the both the 3336 and 3337 is the expandable bottom section, which provides and addition 12cm of storage in the depth of the bag. The expandable bottom zips out, the StowAway boxes can be pushed further into the bag creating a bulk storage area at the top, or vice versa, allowing gear to be stored beneath. Both models also have an adjustable shoulder strap with comfortable shoulder pad.

Taking the soft-sided tackle system one step further is the 3387. This Guide Series soft satchel is an angler's version of a brief case!

At 43cm (L) x 19cm (W) x 29cm (H), the durable soft-sided 3387 includes two 3700 series StowAway utility boxes and one 3600 series StowAway utility box providing heaps of lure storage. The satchel also features two gusseted side pockets, for other gear storage, and a comfortable over-moulded handle for easy carrying.
