The Angler Strikes Back!

The StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retriever is your all-in-one tool for recovering snagged lures — and fish!

You’ll save hundreds of dollars in retrieved fishing lures with the innovative StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retriever, as well as recovering those snagged-up potential trophy-winning fish.

Never lose your favourite lures again! Now there’s an attractive thought. The StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retriever is the answer to more enjoyable and successful lure fishing. Get more strikes by fishing snags with confidence, knowing you will get your snagged lures back quickly and easily.

This deep reaching, extendable, pole-type retriever has a unique line attachment coil, which is quick and easy to use and retrieves all manner of lures — from hard-bodied minnows, to soft plastics and flies. It works particularly well on those embarrassing ‘aerial’ snags as well.

What’s more, the StrikeBack is the only lure retriever on the market designed to recover snagged fish as well as lures.

Constructed from fibreglass and the highest quality marine stainless steel fittings, StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retrievers are built tough.

The StrikeBack Retriever has been tested on thousands of snags by hundreds of anglers. Lure fishing is about fishing, not retrieving, and that is why the designer and long-time barra angler John Szymanski designed the StrikeBack for 100 per cent strike rate, ease and speed.

For snagged lures up to 3 m deep, 10 seconds is all it takes from the time the angler first touches the retriever and puts it away after the retrieve. For deeper lures, add a few more seconds to attach extensions with the self locating threaded connectors.

The coil attaches to the line in a matter of seconds and a prod is all it takes to free a snagged lure.

The fibreglass shaft is flexible, which allows the lure retriever to snake down through snags to the lure or hooked fish. The coil design results in instant and single-handed attachment of the coil to the line. Slide the retriever down the line and a gentle prod is all it takes to free your lure and you’re fishing again in seconds.

The upward rotation of the coil adds a remarkable but simple feature that will recover snagged fish. By prodding around a snagged fish you will feel the line. Lift the retriever and the line slides down the fibreglass shaft and automatically engages inside the coil. Keep lifting and up comes your fish on the end of your StrikeBack. If that doesn’t get the fish back, try a heavy prod that was enough to send a recent 70 lb impoundment barra darting straight out of a snag.

Another advantage of the fibreglass shaft is that its smooth surface and thin profile results in little water resistance when used it in current. In stronger current and extreme depth, additional ‘stand-off’ coils can be mounted at points where the individual sections of the shaft join together, to keep the retriever in a straighter line for a better prodding action.

Using the right tool for the job adds up to more enjoyable and successful fishing. That’s why two versions of the StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retriever are available. It’s your choice… you may need both!

The Billabong is a lightweight version for still to medium water (8 mm diameter shaft) up to 6 m (20’), while the Top Ender’s 10 mm shaft has greater stiffness for strong currents and ultra deep lures to 9 m (30’). Both are made up of 1.5 m sections that join together with self locating, quick connect/disconnect marine grade 316 stainless steel fittings.

Need to reach a deeper lure? StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retrievers are lengthened in seconds, with the addition of another 1.5 m section.

The innovative StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retriever will quickly pay for itself in recovered lures, recovered snagged-up trophy-winning fish and more time fishing. More importantly, it allows you to fish the snags with confidence for even more strikes.

Lightweight, strong and unbreakable in normal use, the StrikeBack Fish and Lure Retriever is a lifetime fishing investment.
